"...Think about it. Which sugar amongst all sugars fits this behaviour - it is anabolic, medicinal, antiseptic, anti-cancer, gentle on blood sugar, friendliest to our liver, the most ideal fuel for burning body fats, and has many healing effects? None, except honey. Hence, it must be differentiated from other sugars, and its health benefits must become common knowledge. Taste aside (though I vote it as the tastiest sugar, sweetest medicine), I believe bee's sugar is the best, nature-given sugar for our body, yet probably most forgotten and neglected sweetener. While the bees play a critical role as pollinators for many agricultural crops in maintaining a balanced eco-system, they also have one very important work - yielding a sweet sticky liquid that man can eat for health.
Parents, be informed on the effects of different sugars and take action. No one is going to care and plan more for your children's health than you, not the schools, not the food authorities, and not the doctors. I believe this natural sugar can help us and the future generations turn away from refined HFCS and the host of harmful artificial sweeteners that are wreaking much havoc on the human body. Pass the word around about what the bees have given us, convert as many of your friends and loved ones as possible before they get whirled into the confusing and deceptive world of sugars..."

Darling, honey is good for you!

"Darling, honey is good for you" is a 26-page, full-colour book about honey bees and honey for kids 3 to 6 year-old. In our modern urban living environment, my observation tells me many kids are not able to trace back the origin of honey further than the stores. They are clueless about where the sweet liquid comes from. We have to tell the children that honey is not made in the factory. They need to know that honey bees collect a sweet liquid from the flowers and turn it into honey in their stomach!

Who Says There's a Honey Farm in Singapore
It's quite crazy to see what some people are saying in the internet about honey farms in Singapore. Yup, there may be quite some flora and fauna in Singapore, but to actually suggest that we visit the "bee farm" at the Farmart Centre to educate ourselves on honeybees is quite unthinkable.
The "bee farm" signs all over at Farmart raised our hope of encountering some bees that day. However, when you eventually reached the "bee farm", what we saw was a tiny shop selling chilled honey drink (cold water + honey) in plastic disposable cups. And when asked if we could see the honeybees, the lady at the shop, pointing to the empty container (which looked like a very small fish tank), said the next batch of bees from Thailand had not arrived. Apparently, it was just a exhibit of a mini-batch of bees and not any kind of bee-farm!
So by now, we should all know this well -- Singapore is a without a single bee farm.
